Chenango County Landfill | Norwich, NY

Smith Site Development was awarded the Chenango County Landfill Expansion Project. This four and half acre landfill cell expansion required technologically advanced Civil Site Construction Practices.

Scope of Work:

  • Erosion Control Measures

  • Mass Excavation – 227,000 Cubic Yards

  • Prep Land fill Subgrade

  • Screen 23,000 Cubic Yards of secondary soil liner

  • Install Type I Fabric

  • Install Type C Select Fill for Ground Water Suppression System

  • Install 8” Perforated HDPE collection Pipes throughout

  • Install Composite Geonet

  • Install secondary Soil liner

  • Install 8” HDPE Solid Clean Out Pipes throughout

  • Install Secondary 60 mil Geomembrane & Composite Geonet

  • Install Type D Select Fill

  • Install Leachate Pumphouse with underground Utilities

  • Install Geo synthetic Clay liner

  • Install Primary 60 mil Geomembrane & Type 4 Geotextile

  • Install Type A Select Fill

  • Restore Access Roadways
